>_Net-Defence and Friends enjoy Paul McCartney’s Glasgow Concert

Net-Defence staff and clients enjoyed what can only be described as the concert of the year at Hampden Park, Glasgow, on Sunday 20th June, when Paul McCartney took to the stage for three hours of hits with songs from the Beatles days, Wings and a selection from recent albums.

Net-Defence, being proud suppliers of services to MPL Communications, took the opportunity of Paul's first visit to Scotland in 20 years to arrange the special VIP event. Staff and clients were overwhelmed by the show all agreeing Mull of Kintyre, with a full pipe band and the fireworks of Live & Let die, were unforgettable.

Net-Defence are pleased to announce the award of framework agreement to test key public sector organisations throughout the UK. The announcement comes at the end of an ongoing project to bring synergy to frequent testing work in this space. Chris Guy, head of Security Testing & Research, will head the project that will run for twelve months through first quarter of 2010. Chris takes on the role of project leader after a distinguished career with the Security Service before moving into the private sector.

Gordon, who is a well-known and highly appreciated consultant with many of Ogilvie Communication's customers, has joined the nLighten team. Gordon will be acting as a consultant, supporting nLighten customers and performing installations.

The autodetect will now also setup monitoring of interrupt frequencies, disk throughput, MS SQL cpu usage and several new variables that will help you find load related problems on your servers.

To get the new variables on your existing servers, click on the server and then on Rescan Host. Click commit config when you are done with any changes.supporting nLighten customers and performing installations.

To the right you can find the new login for your nLighten portal. Instead of as previously logging in with username and customer in two different fields, you can now login with them combined on one field. Example: carl@ogilvie

Please note that this is not the same as your email address. This makes it possible to use your browsers built-in functionality to save username and password.

The nLighten portal is now SSL encrypted, offering you secure access to your nLighten installation from anywhere.

The older login options using unencrypted web traffic will remain an option for as long as they are needed.
